My Approach
As a designer and design strategist, I recognize my ability to create change and spread beauty and meaning to many people. Through my professional and educational experiences:
- I have grown to value the power of teamwork and collaboration in defining and tackling the world's problems
- I recognize the necessity of user research to inform and develop intuitive and effective user experiences, products and services
- I have learned that getting good results depends on asking tough questions and challenging the status quo
- I am not afraid to ask for help and love to offer help when I can
- I sketch out interactions and prototypes on paper and then move to the appropriate medium to convey the experience, whether it's Illustrator, Photoshop, Keynote, the web, Flash, video, or even theatrics
- I love to learn from my peers, my clients, my mentors, my teachers, my experiences, other designers, other disciplines and the world around me
- I am serious and light-hearted, diligent and playful, buttoned-up and goofy, but recognize when it is the right time for each of my traits to shine
