Front-End Design, Explained
A developer at work asked me what front-end designers do other than “use Photoshop, slice & optimize.” I informed him that he had left out the important step of creating semantically-correct HTML/CSS.
As a result I created a light-hearted yet informative presentation to explain the role of front-end design to the technical team. I used skin as a metaphor for the “Layers of Web Apps” to show how the User Interface and HTML help create meaningful user experiences.
